Important release notes

Due to a recent update of two security certificates, you may experience a couple of temporary issues.

First, our website’s server certificate fingerprint has changed. Because older versions of OE Classic (5.4.0 and older) no longer recognize it, features like program activation, the contact form, in-app help and checking for updates will not function. To fix this, please download the latest version 5.4.1 directly from our website to restore this functionality.

Second, our three-year code signing certificate expired, and we have upgraded to a new, top-tier certificate. Because this certificate is new and because of the changed certification process, Microsoft SmartScreen has not yet built up a reputation for it and may display a "Windows protected your PC" warning. This file is safe to proceed, just click the "More info" and then select "Run anyway". This warning will stop appearing automatically once SmartScreen builds enough reputation for the new certificate.
